By this time the name had been changed to THE HP DINNER SHOW and
every week something to do with dinner was featured. I have strong
memories of Suzanne Ksinan coming and cooking haggis in various ways
around Robby Burns Day. One time she put it in a pot in the back yard
surmounted by a magnifying glass. After several hours the skin was a
bit warm where the magnifying glass was focused. A very successful
attempt happened when she wrapped one in aluminum foil and tied it
over the exhaust manifold of a Ford truck. After driving around for a
couple hours the haggis was literally steaming and didn't taste at all
like exhaust fumes. 38

In the summer of 1978 we took a break from live broadcasting. I was
hired to produce an exhibition in San Francisco called The Radio Room,
part of an exchange between La Mammelle and A Space, in Toronto. Hank
joined me to produce a Luxe Radio play with Bay Area people. I fell in
love with San Francisco and stayed to make a sound fountain at The
Exploratorium. 39
